Our Hope

Through the series of programs KOTMA offers, we hope our graduate students will deepen their commitment to personal and community values such as educational enrichment, wellness, self-confidence, vision, leadership skills, sincerity and respect for others. We believe these qualities are essential to leading a humane and productive life in our society.

We are also hopeful our students will someday participate in the future success of their younger peers as well as facilitate a leadership role in community based initiatives in their adult lives.

Our Visions and Goals

Kids On The Move America team is comprised of the Corporate America Professionals, Educators, Musicians and Healthcare Specialists.

The vision and goals for our youth development project will focus on assisting kids in these key areas:
  • Foster social and emotional competence through family encouragement and community service activities

  • Choose life goals through vision, goal setting and mentoring programs.

  • Teach health and promote exercise through nutritional counseling, growing food and physical fitness programs

  • Promote wellness by conducting the appropriate assessments, obesity training, medical and dental screenings

  • Emphasize the importance of academics, diversity and social awareness through tutoring and world history and cultural programs

  • Introduce computers and the Internet through technology programs.

  • Explore creativity, gifts and analytical skills through arts and music programs.

  • Discuss harmful activities, social norms and provide knowledge to help discourage the youth from engaging in negative social norms.
